Your Journey Back To Yourself Starts Here

About me

I am an experienced psychotherapist and Clinical Director at Khiron Clinics, a leading trauma-focused residential facility in the UK. I bring years of specialist experience working with complex trauma, including Complex PTSD, Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), and conditions across the dissociative spectrum. I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS Level 1), Neurofeedback, and I am Polyvagal-informed. I also integrate Deep Brain Reorienting (Level 2) into my clinical work, an approach that targets attachment shock and early relational trauma at the level of the brainstem. I have had training and supervision from some of the leading world experts in trauma, Janina Fischer, Deb Dana, Ariel Schwartz, Colleen DeRango, Dick Schwartz, and Ruth Cohn.

My Journey

Originally from Malta, I served as a manager at Victim Support Malta, where I played a key role in launching one of the country’s first suicide prevention therapeutic support teams. My work involved supporting survivors of crime, domestic violence, and other traumatic experiences. Over the years, I have also worked closely with multiple agencies supporting individuals with addiction, eating disorders, and histories of sexual abuse.

Teaching & Collaboration

Earlier in my career, I collaborated with the Human-Dolphin Institute in the USA, exploring innovative therapeutic interventions. I’ve also taught part-time in the Department of Criminology at the University of Malta, and I continue to enjoy facilitating training and workshops.

Personal Life & Leadership

I am a mother of three and a lover of animals. I bring professionalism, integrity, and deep passion to my work. At Khiron Clinics, I lead with a commitment to clinical excellence and compassionate care, guiding a dedicated team in delivering safe, integrative, and effective treatment for individuals recovering from early attachment wounds and complex trauma.

Types of modalities that I work with

Gestalt Psychotherapy

Gestalt psychotherapy is a present-focused, relational approach that helps you become more aware of your thoughts, feelings, body, and patterns of relating. Instead of focusing only on the past, it explores what’s happening now — helping you make sense of how you cope and gently opening space for new choices. It’s a creative and compassionate process that supports deeper connection, authenticity, and wholeness.

Internal Family Systems

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a gentle therapy that sees the mind as made up of different parts — each with its own role, emotion, or way of coping. These parts aren’t problems; they’re often trying to protect you. IFS helps you get to know them with compassion, and reconnect with your core Self — a calm, wise inner presence that can lead healing. The aim isn’t to fix you, but to support you in feeling more whole and at peace within yourself.

Deep Brain Reorienting

Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) is a gentle, body-based therapy that works with the brain’s earliest responses to threat or disconnection. By slowing down and noticing subtle body signals, DBR helps process trauma safely and deeply — often without needing to relive painful memories. It supports healing at a foundational level, especially for early attachment wounds or developmental trauma.

Trauma Informed Stabilisation Treatment

TIST (Trauma-Informed Stabilisation Treatment) is a structured, compassionate approach designed to help people safely manage overwhelming emotions and trauma symptoms. It combines parts work (like Internal Family Systems) with a focus on stabilisation, helping clients build inner safety, reduce self-destructive patterns, and develop trust in themselves. It's especially helpful for complex or developmental trauma.

Somatic Experiencing

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-based approach to healing trauma. It focuses on gently releasing stress and trauma held in the nervous system by helping the body complete its natural responses to threat. SE training teaches how to track physical sensations, build regulation, and support the body in finding safety and ease — without needing to re-live traumatic events

Neurofeedback ILF

Neurofeedback is a brain-training method that helps regulate the nervous system. By using real-time feedback from brain activity, it teaches your brain to shift out of patterns linked to anxiety, trauma, or overwhelm. It’s a gentle, non-invasive approach that supports better focus, calm, and emotional balance over time.

Answers to some of the questions you may have

What can I expect during my first session?

You’re simply invited to show up as you are, with your questions, your story, your hesitations, or even just your curiosity. It's a chance for me to get to know you better and start to plan what your support will look like.

Do I need a referral to book a session?

No referral is needed. You’re welcome to reach out directly, no matter where you are on your journey. Whether you’re feeling ready, uncertain, or just exploring the idea of support. If something in you is reaching out, that’s more than enough.

Are sessions confidential?

Yes, everything you share in our sessions is treated with respect, safety and confidentiality.I may take aspects of our work to professional supervision, which is a standard and supportive part of safe practice, but I never share any identifying details. This helps me continue offering you the best possible support, while fully protecting your privacy.

The only exceptions to confidentiality are rare and guided by a duty of care: if I believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, or if there is a disclosure involving child welfare that requires safeguarding. If such a situation ever arose, I would do my best to speak with you about it first, wherever possible.

Do you offer online or virtual sessions?

I offer both online sessions via Zoom and in-person sessions in a quiet, comfortable therapy room based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. You’re welcome to choose the format that feels most supportive for you, whether that’s the flexibility and ease of meeting online, or the grounding presence of being together in person. If you’re unsure which option suits you best, I’m happy to talk it through and help you decide what feels right.

What type of therapy do you provide?

I offer relational therapy that gently supports you to explore what’s happening in the here and now. Together, we pay attention to your thoughts, feelings, and bodily responses using the wisdom of your nervous system to understand how you’ve learned to respond to the world around you. This approach helps bring awareness to the patterns of behaviour and coping strategies that may have once protected you, but might now be holding you back. By meeting these with curiosity and compassion, we begin to create space for new ways of relating to yourself, to others, and to life. The work is about moving from a place of survival toward a deeper sense of wholeness, authenticity, and inner strength. It’s not about fixing you, it’s about supporting you to come home to who you really are.

How long are the sessions ?

The session is 1 hour long whether online or face to face. I offer a free 15–20 minute consultation (by phone or video) to discuss what you’re looking for, answer your questions, and see whether we might be a good match to work together.

What if I need to cancel a session ?

I ask for at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less notice may be charged the full session fee.

How do I book an appointment ?

You can contact me by using the booking form to arrange a free consultation.
