About me
I am an experienced psychotherapist and Clinical Director at Khiron Clinics, a leading trauma-focused residential facility in the UK. I bring years of specialist experience working with complex trauma, including Complex PTSD, Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), and conditions across the dissociative spectrum. I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS Level 1), Neurofeedback, and I am Polyvagal-informed. I also integrate Deep Brain Reorienting (Level 2) into my clinical work, an approach that targets attachment shock and early relational trauma at the level of the brainstem. I have had training and supervision from some of the leading world experts in trauma, Janina Fischer, Deb Dana, Ariel Schwartz, Colleen DeRango, Dick Schwartz, and Ruth Cohn.
My Journey
Originally from Malta, I served as a manager at Victim Support Malta, where I played a key role in launching one of the country’s first suicide prevention therapeutic support teams. My work involved supporting survivors of crime, domestic violence, and other traumatic experiences. Over the years, I have also worked closely with multiple agencies supporting individuals with addiction, eating disorders, and histories of sexual abuse.
Teaching & Collaboration
Earlier in my career, I collaborated with the Human-Dolphin Institute in the USA, exploring innovative therapeutic interventions. I’ve also taught part-time in the Department of Criminology at the University of Malta, and I continue to enjoy facilitating training and workshops.
Personal Life & Leadership
I am a mother of three and a lover of animals. I bring professionalism, integrity, and deep passion to my work. At Khiron Clinics, I lead with a commitment to clinical excellence and compassionate care, guiding a dedicated team in delivering safe, integrative, and effective treatment for individuals recovering from early attachment wounds and complex trauma.
