Need Clarification?

Answers to some of the questions you may have

What can I expect during my first session?

You’re simply invited to show up as you are, with your questions, your story, your hesitations, or even just your curiosity. It's a chance for me to get to know you better and start to plan what your support will look like.

Do I need a referral to book a session?

No referral is needed. You’re welcome to reach out directly, no matter where you are on your journey. Whether you’re feeling ready, uncertain, or just exploring the idea of support. If something in you is reaching out, that’s more than enough.

Are sessions confidential?

Yes, everything you share in our sessions is treated with respect, safety and confidentiality.I may take aspects of our work to professional supervision, which is a standard and supportive part of safe practice, but I never share any identifying details. This helps me continue offering you the best possible support, while fully protecting your privacy.

The only exceptions to confidentiality are rare and guided by a duty of care: if I believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, or if there is a disclosure involving child welfare that requires safeguarding. If such a situation ever arose, I would do my best to speak with you about it first, wherever possible.

Do you offer online or virtual sessions?

I offer both online sessions via Zoom and in-person sessions in a quiet, comfortable therapy room based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. You’re welcome to choose the format that feels most supportive for you, whether that’s the flexibility and ease of meeting online, or the grounding presence of being together in person. If you’re unsure which option suits you best, I’m happy to talk it through and help you decide what feels right.

What type of therapy do you provide?

I offer relational therapy that gently supports you to explore what’s happening in the here and now. Together, we pay attention to your thoughts, feelings, and bodily responses using the wisdom of your nervous system to understand how you’ve learned to respond to the world around you. This approach helps bring awareness to the patterns of behaviour and coping strategies that may have once protected you, but might now be holding you back. By meeting these with curiosity and compassion, we begin to create space for new ways of relating to yourself, to others, and to life. The work is about moving from a place of survival toward a deeper sense of wholeness, authenticity, and inner strength. It’s not about fixing you, it’s about supporting you to come home to who you really are.

How long are the sessions ?

The session is 1 hour long whether online or face to face. I offer a free 15–20 minute consultation (by phone or video) to discuss what you’re looking for, answer your questions, and see whether we might be a good match to work together.

What if I need to cancel a session ?

I ask for at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less notice may be charged the full session fee.
